Welcome to MAB Wellness Outreach, a dynamic, faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization rooted in faith and compassion. Established on May 17, 2023, our journey began as an extension of the impactful efforts initiated by the Michael Artrell Barber Memorial Fund in 2015.

At MAB Wellness Outreach, our purpose is clear: to empower individuals and families within our community, regardless of their resources, with the tools and knowledge needed to embrace a holistic approach to wellness.

We are committed to providing education and resources on mental health, arts, nutrition, and overall well-being, aiming to foster healthier lifestyles across all age groups.

Our programs are designed to be accessible to everyone. Whether it's through in-person sessions serving the Hampton Roads area and surrounding cities or virtual workshops on platforms like Zoom, we strive to reach as many individuals as possible, extending our impact far beyond geographical boundaries.

​ MAB Wellness Outreach is a heartfelt tribute to Michael, the beloved son of our founder, Ms. Barber. Michael's journey, marked by his courageous battle with mental health challenges, serves as our guiding light. He was missing December 24, 2014. His body was recovered in the local river April 16, 2015, all while his sister, Michelle, was experiencing her own trauma. His unwavering advocacy for healthy living, music, arts, and community spirit continues to inspire us every day. In honoring Michael's legacy, we also pay homage to his resilient sister, Michelle, and the enduring love of their family.
